Studio 62 is an interdisciplinary graphic design practice run by
Joseph J Kim, a designer, artist, and music producer.
He was raised on Long Island, NY and spent most of his life living and working in NYC. He holds a BFA in fine art from Cooper Union, NY. He studied abroad for one semester at UCL Slade, London.
His latest show, Rush Hour (with Elzie Williams), was shown at 208 Bowery in the East Village in 2019. His latest album, Croyden, was released with Parking Lot Music in 2020.
He has a deep understanding of the Adobe suite, front-end web design, branding, contemporary art and visual language, and audio production (Logic Pro X). He loves utilizing differents forms of language as tools to get across big ideas, especially ones that are subjective, in whatever shape or form best suits the needs.
“62” is a reference to his childhood home back on Long Island, where his parents still reside. Joseph J Kim currently lives and works in Austin, TX.
